VOGUE ITALIA & MARTINI #sharinghappytimes

I will be shooting exclusive spread for MARTINI in Milan soon!

June 30th marked the end of the #sharinghappytimes scouting initiative launched by MARTINI and Vogue Italia to celebrate beauty and creativity: many are the photographers that took part in the initiative by posting on Instagram their most representative take on “best because shared” moments. Among the various participants, the Photo Editor team of Vogue Italia shortlisted four talented photographers who will have the opportunity to shoot an exclusive spread at Terrazza MARTINI on Piazza Diaz and offer their original interpretation of the summer 2017 cocktails. Here are the names of the shortlisted photographers:
Andrew Tarnawczyk
David PD Hyde
Gioconda & August
Monia Merlo
The images shot as a result of the shooting will be displayed as part of the photo exhibition taking place at Palazzo Morando during the 2017 VFNO and will be featured in the September Issue of Vogue Italia. We look forward to revealing you the unique vision of our four talented photographers!

impegnano a preservarla e a costruire futuro.

INTERVIEW | FONDAZIONE PITTI DISCOVERY

Many thanks to Fondazione Pitti Discovery and Sara Pizzi for the beautiful interview and for featuring my work

"To be constantly listening. Ready to seize those unexpected “gifts”, those unexpected moments that change your life. There's no photography, no art form, no labels that we can attach to ourselves that can define our work. What exists – and endures, in the fast-forward world of today - is simply the desire, the passion and the instinct to talk about life. Fragments, instants of other existences that, by some inexplicable effect, hold small particles of ourselves within them.
Monia Merlo knows this well. With her background as an architect, she has turned her life upside down to follow a passion – an innate talent – turning it into a real profession. Her photographs are ethereal, dreamy, imbued with an almost oneiric light and a whispered yet very powerful femininity. This is what Monia told us about her work."
